We have various ways of operating our systems that can be used with all of our designs.

Manhattan Easy Tilt System

The easy tilt rod system is the most popular choice and has a hidden gear system inside and no rod. The louvres are operated by hand and this system offers a more seamless finish.

Centre Tilt Rod

This is a very popular option and one you will have seen in many homes in the UK. It’s the original design of the plantation shutter and offers both style and function. You have a full-length rod that operates the entire shutter allowing you to tilt the louvres to adjust the light in the room.

Hidden Tilt Rod

Again, a popular choice this gives the appearance of the easy tilt rod system but at a more budget friendly cost. The rod is hidden behind the shutter so it appears there is no rod in use.

Offset Tilt Rod

The offset tilt rod does exactly the same as the centre tilt rod system except the rod is set to the side, this is purely a matter of taste.
